Last lap of the 2010 Indy 500, Mike Conway crashes into Ryan Hunter-Reay and goes airborne and spinning in midair. Good news is both drivers are ok. Congrats to Dario.

Major crash on the last lap as Mike Conway got into Ryan Hunter-Reay in turn 3. Conway went airborn hitting the fence. Anna Beatriz was caught up in the crash as well. Conway suffered a broken left leg as a result. Dario Franchitti takes the victory. Interview with Danica Patrick and Mike Olinger.

Amazing last lap crash during the 2010 Indy 500. Mike Conway is launched into the fence and his car is disintegrated. He is later transported by helicopter to a local hospital after injuries to his leg.

Mike Conway [#24 Dreyer & Reinbold Racing] makes hard hit in turn 1 during qualifying of the 93rd Indianapolis 500. He was admitted to Methodist Hospital and being treated for bruised lungs after a morning practice crash. He’s listed in good condition EDIT 05/13/2009 : Mike Conway has been released from Methodist Hospital. He had been admitted in good condition following a crash during practice on May 10. Due to a mild concussion, Conway will not be medically cleared to drive until he is evaluated by Indy Racing League doctors on May 15. Dario Franchitti won his 2nd Indianapolis 500, but Mike Conway was involved in a very bad wreck on the last lap when his car went airborne and into the fence. He was awake and alert, but had an injured leg and was flown to a local hospital because of traffic. More info will be posted when we hear more on his condition. Tony Kanaan started in dead last (33rd) and made his way up to the 2nd position with less than 10 laps to go, but he needed to pit for a quick splash of feul and finished 11th.
